World Cup 2022: Ghanaian defender Richie Laryea named in Canada’s final squad for Qatar tournament

The Canada national team is all set for the 2022 FIFA World Cup after the announcement of the team’s final squad for the tournament.

In the squad of talented players unveiled ahead of the tournament, Ghanaian defender Richie Laryea is amongst the defenders.

The player who plays his football in England with Nottingham Forest is set to taste his first world cup following his inclusion in the Canada national team.

Over the last few years, Richie Laryea has established himself as a key player in the defense of his national team and will be starting for Canada at the world cup.

Due to his versatility, he could play in other positions besides defense.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies is also in the Canada squad for this year’s mundial.

He is the best player in the national team and will be used as an attacker instead of the role he has become accustomed to playing in the German Bundesliga.
