World Cup 2022: I am confident Ghana can beat Uruguay - Otto Addo

Black Stars coach Otto Addo is highly optimistic his side will progress to the round of 16 of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar by beating Uruguay in their final group game on Friday.

Black Stars are currently second in Group H and will take on Uruguay in their final group game.

A win or draw will see Ghana through to the last 16 of the competition.

"It was really, really long time ago that this incident happened and I am a strong believer that if you don't seek too much revenge on these kind of things, sometimes you get the blessings," coach Otto Addo said.

"It will be very difficult but I am confident to know that we can win this game."

Ghana became the third African country after Senegal and Morocco to secure a win in the second round of matches in the tournament following their 3-2 victory over South Korea.

The four-time African champions started their World Cup campaign on a wrong note after losing 3-2 to Portugal who have progressed to the round of 16 stage.
