World Cup 2022: Thank you for the visit; it’s an inspiration for us – Ghana coach Otto Addo to CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe

The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Dr. Patrice Motspe visited the camp of the Black Stars on Wednesday evening to wish the team well ahead of the opening match in Group H of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Speaking during the visit of the CAF President, Black Stars head coach Otto Addo was very appreciative and said it will inspire his players ahead of the crucial group opener on Thursday, November 24.

"We don't take it for granted that you came by to visit us. It's a great honour for us to host you even though it is a short visit. This is really inspiring for us, the players and the staff.

"I can assure you that they are working hard on and off the pitch, so I am very sure that we won't disappoint our nation and Africa Ghana has shown in the past that they can compete at the highest level and when I see their training and look at how they played in recent games, I strongly believe that we can do some miracles,” Ghana coach Otto Addo said.

Ghana takes on Portugal later this evening in a game scheduled to kick off at 16:00GMT.
