Ghana midfielder Salis Abdul Samed believes the Black Stars is solid at the back and in midfield and has therefore called for more attackers in subsequent games at the 2022 World Cup.
The RC Lens midfielder featured last Monday when Ghana inflicted an important 3-2 win over South Korea on Monday afternoon.
Ghana took a 2-0 lead in the first half thanks to goals from Southampton defender Mohammed Salisu and Ajax's Mohammed Kudus.
However, Ghana fans' raucous celebrations at halftime were dampened by South Korea's comeback after the break.
Cho Kyu-sung, the top scorer in his domestic league, levelled the game after 61 minutes with two stunning headers in three minutes.
But Ghana's impressive Kudus added a final twist by thumping in a third goal to break South Korea's hearts.
In an interview, Salis, who believes the Black Stars is solid at the back and in midfield has called for more attackers in subsequent games of the national team.
“I think we have a very good team, a very strong team who defended very well. I think we need to prove more in the attack, to me, we need to have more attackers in our game because I think at the back and with the midfield we are okay for defending” he said.
Salis Abdul Samed is expected to play a huge role for the national team when they face Uruguay in an epic clash as they seek to secure qualification to the Round of 16.
