World Cup 2022: We will come back stronger, says Thomas Partey after Ghana’s group stage exit

Ghana midfielder, Thomas Partey has assured the citizenry that the Black Stars will bounce back stronger after the group stage exit of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Following a 2-0 defeat to Uruguay last Friday, Ghana failed to advance to the knockout stage of the Qatar tournament.

In a post on social media today, Monday, December 5, Thomas Partey expressed appreciation to Ghanaians all over the world for supporting the team.

“It was our biggest wish to give Ghanaians something to cheer about but unfortunately it didn’t go as we wanted.

“I want to say a huge thank you for the unconditional support from home and across the world.

“With the support of God we will come back stronger,” Thomas Partey shared on Facebook.

Thomas Partey featured in all three group-stage games of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. His best game was the 3-2 win against South Korea.

Since the exit from the tournament, some Ghanaians have implored the Arsenal midfielder to up his game for the national team.
