Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca have seen their appeal against the 2018/19 CAF Champions League final tossed out by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
Wydad faced Esperance in the 2018/19 CAF Champions League final which ended 1-1 in the first leg but issued in the second leg saw the match forfeited.
After the incidents, Confederation of African football (CAF) decided to award the match to Esperance, making them winners of the tournament.
They also fine Wydad for forfeiting the second leg of the final. Wydad contested this initially at CAF and then took it CAS.
CAS decided that indeed they forfeited the game and the initial ruling by CAF stands.
