Gyasi Kay, Local Manager for Asante Kotoko’s Burkina Faso international Songne Yacouba has stated that his client is not bordered much with his goalscoring drought.

According to Gyasi, the goal poacher’s long time goalscoring drought for his outfit is not a worry since he has the believe to bounce back strong and harder to net goals for the club.

The Burkinabe forward is the most prefered upfront for the Warriors in their CAF campaign but has failed to register a goal despite his excellent form under coach C.K Akunnor.

"Songne Yacouba is not worried about his goal drought and he believes the goals will flow at the right time".

"Kotoko supporters should be calm and keep supporting Songne Yacouba and I know things will start working for him very soon", he told Ashh FM.

He debunked the notion that, Yacouba lack of goals for more than five appearance has a way for spiritualism.

"The goal drought of Songne Yacouba is not anything attributed to spiritualism so we should just support him and give him time". I can also say his goal drought can also be attributed to the lack of competitive games in the Country".

"The system of play in the Kotoko team has changed and every player on the field can score in games", he stated.
