Yaw Preko lambasts Sergio Traguil for calling him a saboteur

Interim Coach of Hearts of Oak, Yaw Preko has slammed Sergio Traguil for labeling him and other members of team's technical handlers as 'saboteurs'.

Sergio Traguil was hired by the club after the sacking of Japanese tactician Kenichi Yatsuhashi as a developmental coach in the club's youth side, but later took over the reins as a stop-gap coach for the remainder of the season.

However, after a turn of bad results, Sergio Traguil was demoted to his original role as a youth coach, and was replaced by Yaw Preko who had served as an assistant under Kenichi Yastuhashi before occupying the same position under Sergio Traguil's tenure.

And the beleaguered Portuguese trainer believes he was deliberately hampered by his backroom staff and assistant during his time as the head coach of the club, but Yaw Preko has hit out at his assertion in an interview with Boss FM, a Kumasi-based radio station.

"The man must be ignorant to think like that. He is incompetent who knows nothing about coaching," Preko angrily said.

"If truly he has any idea in coaching, how could he blame me and other technical team members for sabotaging him whiles he messed up the big platform the team gave him all by himself."

Yaw Preko led the team to a third place finish in last year's Ghana Premier League
