FC Twente Enschede midfield sensation, Yaw Yeboah has stressed that he is patiently waiting for his debut for the Black Stars after being handed a call-up into the team last month against Rwanda and Russia.
In the wake of his graduation from the Right to Dream Academy, Yaw was signed by Manchester City for the 2014/15 season, but had to be loaned out to Lille Metropole in the French Championnat after impressing in the 2015 Under-20 World Cup in New Zealand.
However, after failing to make his debut in his maiden call-up into the Black Stars for the dead rubber qualifier victory over Rwanda and the friendly match defeat to Russia, Yaw has insisted that he is not in a rush to force his way into the team because he knows there are players with much experience ahead of him.
“I wasn’t disappointed that I didn’t feature in my first senior national team call-up, but rather felt so happy that the technical team believed I could help the team,” Yaw told Happy FM.
“I know time is on my part to win my first cap and also with hard work, I know I can claim a starting spot in not too long distance. Maybe next time when I’m being invited I could win play. I’m feeling good this season, but won’t pressure on coach Avram Grant, but my performances for my club will maybe force them to play me.”
