Turkish Super Lig side Yeni Malatyaspor has shared that Ghanaian international Afriyie Acquah as the midfielder they have been looking for after his outstanding performance in their 4-0 win over Ankaragucu o Sunday.
The Black Stars player was instrumental for the side when marking his full debut after joining them on a free transfer in the recently ended summer transfer window.
Acquah earned the best rating by any midfielder with a score of 7.7 per statistics provided by whoscored.com and made things happen for Yeni Malatyaspor throughout the match.
The midfield kingpin touched the ball 86 times, made two key passes with a Passing Accuracy 83.8% and won 1 aerial ball.
A post on the club’s Instagram account after Afriyie Acquah’s outstanding performance read, “Aradığımız Orta Sahayı Bulduk”. Translating to English means “We have found the midfielder we were looking for”.
The former Empoli man is expected to be key for Yeni throughout this season.
