Former Ghanaian international Prince Tagoe was blunt in his evaluation of the current state of affairs at Hearts of Oak.
With a mix of frustration and disappointment, Tagoe pulled no punches as he labeled the team's players as "lazy" during a recent interview.
Hearts of Oak was whipped 5-1 by Medeama SC in their match week 31 game which was played at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Salifu Ibrahim scored the consolation goal for the Phobians from the penalty spot in the 33rd minute.
“There should be a massive shake-up in the playing body of Hearts of Oak at the end of 2022/23 season. Yes, because there are lot of players in the current who don't merit to wear the Rainbow jersey," Tagoe said on Angel TV
“I know why I am saying that, the leadership of Hearts of Oak pays the players well. Players at Hearts of Oak receives huge salaries every month. They're just lazy. Some should be offloaded while others should be shipped out to other clubs on loan,"
Hearts of Oak is 7th on the Ghana Premier League table with 45 points.
