Ebenezer Agyei has decided to leave Belgium Pro League outfit Anderlecht. The defender made the announcement on his Instagram page.

Ebenezer and his twin brother Enock signed a three-year professional deal in September 2020. Ebenezer will therefore not stay until the end of the deal. He has not yet revealed the name of his new club.

"After seven seasons at Anderlecht, it is time to leave," he wrote. "It was a good experience, with lots of adventure and nice tournaments, but now my story at Anderlecht is over. Thank you to the coaches I worked with, the players, the staff and the supporters."

The now 17-year-old Ebenezer was part of Anderlecht's U18 this season. Twin brother Enock plays for the RSCA Futures.

Ebenezer Ayei started his football career with RCS Verviers in 2015. RCS Verviers was a Belgian association football team based in Verviers, Liège.

It last competed in the Belgian Third Division B in 2014-15, finishing 17th out of 18 teams and was forced to dissolve due to financial troubles.
