Ghanaian youngster, Evans Mensah has revealed that he is hoping to get a call-up into the Black Stars team very soon.

The nimble-footed winger was part of the Black Meteors team that finished fourth at the 2019 CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) which was staged in Egypt last month.

Mensah emerged as one of the best players of the tournament and was named in the team of the tournament at the end.

In an interview after the continental showdown, the HJK Helsinki attacker says that his focus after representing his country at the U-23 level is to get a call-up into the senior national team.

“The competition is played every four years and am 22 now, obviously I wouldn’t be eligible to play in the next edition.

“Right now I am focusing on the Black Stars, I hope to get a chance with the senior team. It is not going to come easy but I need to work harder and make sure I take up the chance when it comes”, he told TV3.

Meanwhile, Evans Mensah has been tipped to eventually break into the Black Stars team especially looking at his recent explosive form in the Finish top-flight.
