During a chat with United Reviewahead of the game, the enigmatic Swede was asked if he'd met any City fans while swanning around Manchester since his arrival in the Premier League at the start of the season.

You'd expect that he had, and he confirmed such during the interview, though he's implied that they may not actually be City fans any more.

He said:"I met a lot...but they became United supporters when they met me!"

Obviously, Zlatan's very presence was enough to turn the City fans' heads and switch their allegiance.

But he's also admitted that he wants to become boss of the city by earning a win over Pep Guardiola's side in the League Cup on Wednesday - even while he's the self-appointed God of Manchester already.

He said: "It's a rival game between two teams from the same city - one is light blue, one is red.You always want to be the boss of the city, of course.

"I have big experience for these kinds of games. I've played all over Europe in similar games, the kind of games, let's say, where the heat is.I came out as a winner many times in these moments so let's hope this is another moment I can come out as a winner."
