Asante Kotoko have stated categorically that, they will not sell young striker, Dauda Mohammed to any club in Ghana.

According to them, in the worst case scenario of unavoidable transfer, the 19-year-old will sold to an European club should there be good offer.

Some clubs in the country – notably Dreams FC reportedly requested the services of the teenage goal poacher – a development that amused the management and fans of Kotoko.

“We can’t and won’t sell Dauda Mohammed to any club in Ghana. We are not even thinking of that in the first place, he’s not for sale,” said Kotoko General Manager Opoku Nti

“Let me however point out that, should we receive good offers for him from Europe for instance, why not, we will consider that.”

Asked whether management wouldn’t reconsider their decision should any local club make a huge financial bid for Dauda, Opoku Nti reiterated management’s stance. “Let me be emphatic. Dauda Mohammed isn’t for sale. We are not thinking of that. Dreams FC might have done the right thing by officially writing to us and showing interest in the player. However our response to them was straightforward. The player isn’t for sale” he stressed.
