The Ghana Premier League is set to receive massive financial boost after Samsung Ghana Limited and Societte General were reported to be interested in sponsoring the Ghana elite football.

Samsung and Societte General are both in talks with the Ghana Football Association to seal a deal that will cater for the financial hassle of the various participating teams.

The 2015/2016 season begun without a title sponsor with the GFA having to rely only on $700,000 a year deal plus TV coverage from Supersports.

Clubs including Edubiase have threatened to pull out of the league due to financial constraints but good news beckons as footballghana.com understands advanced talks are in place to seal a sponsorship deal with Sumsang and Societte General.

The second round of the Ghana Premier league is set to resume on June 24.
