2023/24 Ghana Premier League: Week 28 Match Preview - Aduana Stars v Karela United

Published on: 26 April 2024

In a highly competitive clash on Saturday, Aduana Stars and Karela United will lock horns at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in matchday 28 of the Ghana Premier League, as both teams will be yearning for maximum points.

The fire boys will be hoping to bounce back from the defeat against Bibiani Goldstars last weekend when they take on Karela United.

Aduana Stars have managed two wins and three defeats in their last five games, which is a clear indication of their inconsistent performance in this campaign.

In their last five meetings, Aduana Stars have recorded just a win against Karela United, drawing two and losing two across the period.

The Dormaa-based club are still in contention for the Ghana Premier League title and cannot afford to drop points against Karela United on home turf.

The two-time league winners are third on the domestic top-flight table with 42 points, seven points adrift of log leaders, Samartex.

Karela United, on the other side, has not fared well in their last five games and must improve their performance as the season nears its end. The formerly Anyinase-based club has suffered three defeats in their last five games, winning one and drawing one across the period.

Coach Abukari Damba and his charges holds a better record against Aduana Stars in their last five games and will be aiming to maintain their impressive run against them.

Karela United are currently in the relegation drop after 27 matches into the campaign. With 31 points, the Nalerigu-based club find themselves in 16th position and must play above themselves to escape the drop as the season nears its end.
