Emre Can's new contract talks with Liverpool are at a standstill.

Can is the last year of his current deal and could now contemplate letting him leave in January to cash in on him.

The Reds took advantage of his £9.75million release clause to sign him from Bayer Leverkusen in 2014.

It's claimed Can's representatives do not want a low release clause included in any deal.

Juventus are watching developments closely, having failed with a late bid for the midfielder last month.
