Hearts of Oak set to sign experience striker Yahaya Mohammed

Accra Hearts of Oak are close to signing veteran striker Yahaya Mohammed, footballghana.com can reveal.

The striker is currently a free agent after terminating his contract with Tanzanian giants Azam FC, who have replaced the 29 year old with Liberty Professionals forward Bernard Arthur.

The former Asante Kotoko striker is understood to be in talks with the Ghanaian giants, and according to close sources the deal could be struck before the end of the week.

Mohammed and Hearts of Oak has been locked in negotiations since last week, and report reaching footballghana.com indicates that the former OGC Nice forward is delighted with the contract presented by the Phobians.

Accra Hearts of Oak have identified the former Asante Kotoko marksman as a perfect replacement for Kwame Kizito who is set to join Swedish side Hacken BK in the coming days.

Meanwhile, the club is also reported to be in negotiations with Abednego Tetteh, Amos Korankye, Kwasi Donsu, Ernest Sowah, Eric Donkor and Farouk Mohammed of Elmina Sharks.

Yahaya Mohammed scored fifteen goals for Aduana last two season before leaving for Tanzania.
