In-form Thomas Abbey keen on making Black Stars B final team

Hearts attacker Thomas Abbey wants to make the final squad of the Black Stars B ahead of their 2018 CHAN qualifier with Burkina Faso.

Abbey is part of a 28-man team called up by coach Maxwell Konadu to begin preparations at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence.

With his recent fine goal scoring form in the ongoing Ghana Premier League, Abbey shouldn't find it difficult making the squad.

But he wants to put in extra work to convince the technical team.

“I would be very proud of myself if I should make the final 23-man squad because the competition in the team is very high.

“I’m doing my best to make sure I achieve this set target, so that my club and fans will be proud of me as well,” Abbey said in an interview, after their 3-1 win over Tema Youth last Sunday.

Thomas Abbey is currently joint top on the premier league goal scorers chat with Ahmed Toure on 12 goals each.
