Ghana's U16 national team, the Black Starlets, demonstrated their prowess on the field with a stunning 5-1 victory over Serbia in the UEFA U16 Development Tournament.

This triumph followed their initial setback, a 3-1 defeat to hosts Russia earlier in the week. The match against Serbia was a thrilling display of dominance by Ghana, who asserted control from the outset, netting three goals in the first half alone.

Abdulai Nortey opened the scoring for Ghana in the 15th minute, setting the tone for his team's attacking style. Benjamin Hanson added to the lead just before halftime with a confident penalty conversion in the 44th minute.

The first half ended on a high note for Ghana as David Koranteng scored right before the break, giving his team a comfortable advantage.

In the second half, Ghana maintained their pressure, with Ebenezer Anane and Benjamin Tsevanyo both finding the net to extend the lead to 5 goals. Despite their efforts, Serbia managed to score a consolation goal through Stulic in the 68th minute.

This victory serves as redemption for Ghana after their earlier defeat to Russia. With one more match against Kazakhstan scheduled for Sunday, Ghana remains focused on preparing for the upcoming WAFU Zone B U17 Tournament in Accra next month.

The UEFA U16 International Development Tournament provides Ghana with a vital platform to hone their skills and strategies ahead of the prestigious U17 WAFU competition.

The team's impressive performance against Serbia underscores their determination and commitment to success on the international stage.

As they progress in the tournament, Ghana continues to prove themselves as a force to be reckoned with, showcasing the talent and potential of their young footballers.
