Massive changes expected in Ghana's starting line up against Ethiopia

Ghana coach Kwasi Appiah is expected to present an entirely new starting line-up in their opening 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia.

This signifies that, the era where one could predict the starting line-up of the team ahead of games is over.

Appiah having named ten debutants and given  opportunity to some players who had not been in the team in the last two years will wield the axe on many regular starters.

Lots of options at his disposal now considering the fine form of some of the young players in the team.

After closely monitoring their training session it is certain that Wa All Stars goalkeeper Richard Ofori will start ahead of Asante Kotoko's Felix Annan and Joseph Addo of Aduana Stars.

Appiah is likely to maintain Harrison Afful at right back and play young Agbenyenu Lumor of 1860 Munich at left back.

The central defensive pair will function around Leicester City’s Daniel Amartey and John Boye.

Thomas Teye Partey of Atletico Madrid will lead the midfield quartet of Stuttgart’s Ebenezer Ofori, with exciting winger Thomas Agyepong set to play his first competitive game for Ghana.

West Ham’s Andre Ayew starts and he will operate behind skipper Asamoah Gyan and new boy Raphael Dwamena.
