MTN FA Cup: Elmina Sharks to test Liberty Professionals at the Dansoman Park

Published on: 18 June 2016

In form Division One side Elmina Sharks will take on Liberty Professionals at the Carl Riendolf Park on Saturday afternoon in an MTN FA Cup quarterfinals game.

Looking at the current form of Sharks in the lower division league, the scientific soccer lads must be at their best in front of their home fans to get a good result which will ensure qualification to the last four of the competition.

Sharks were the only side in the second-tier league (all Zones) not to have tasted defeat after 15 rounds of matches.

This will be the first time Liberty will be playing a home match in this season’s Cup competition after playing all matches away.

Coach George Lamptey and his players will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways at home after losing their last home game to Medeama SC in a Ghana Premier league encounter.

Also on Sunday, Division One League campaigners Okwahu United who suspended their coach Mohammed Gargo indefinitely, will host Premier League outfit WAFA SC.
