Yaw Yeboah insists the Dutch league is good breeding grounds for young talents

Ghana winger Yaw Yeboah says playing in Holland was fantastic and it’s a good place to develop your talent as a young footballer.

 

The Manchester City player has been on loan at FC Twente in Holland when he has featured 26 times scoring 2 goals.

 

Yaw Yeboah joined City in 2014 after a successfully graduating from the Right to Dream Academy.

 

However, the 20 year old has struggled to break into a mega rich Manchester City team.

 

He was then loaned to French side Lille where he succeeded before joining FC Twente where he has been excellent throughout the season.

 

Speaking about his time in Holland he told Accra Based radio Station Citi FM, “I actually want to play football that was all I wanted to do since I was born, just to play. I don’t care about whatever is behind anything, I just want to be on the pitch and play and make myself happy so going to Holland was a good thing,”

 

 

Yeboah says he was motivated to play in the Dutch League because of the Stars it has churned out over the years.

 

“You can see more young players play in the Dutch league which is fantastic. Good Talents. A lot of footballers like Suarez, Zlatan and Atsu played in the Dutch League and so it weren’t anything that anything that I thought would have affected my performance,” he said.

 

“I went in, I was able to fit in, I played a couple of games and I really did well and it continued like that so it has been fantastic.”

 

The former Right to Dream player is currently in camp with the Black Stars who are preparing for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia.
