13 Ridiculous Things the FA Could Do With the Money They've Taken Off Jose Mourinho in Fines

Published on: 30 November 2016

Jose Mourinho's latest FA charge wasn't just significant for the one-match ban it netted him - it also meant that he's now been fined more than £200,000 since his return to English football in 2013.

The £16,000 snagged off the Manchester United manager this week means that he's handed over £207,000 to the Football Association in that time - and you've got to wonder what English football's head honchos might have spent that money on.

Maybe...

345,000 Mars Bars

The FA still have a partnership with Mars, right? Maybe they could get a bulk discount, or free delivery.

Approximately 1/10 of 2012-vintage Michu

Remember when every signing was measured against "you could've got [X] Michus for that!"? Well. It's back.

Almost 52 of theKohler Numi Toilet System

Billed as the most advanced toilet system in the world (yep, toilet system),it has a hands free motion sensor to open and lift the toilet seat. It plays music whilst you do your business, has a foot warmer and wait for it...it cleans and dries you when you're done.

There'd even be enough money left over to put on a couple of fleets of coaches!

23,077 cans of vanishing spray

The absolute revelation of the day is that you can buy referee vanishing spray for less than a tenner on Amazon - and if you don't want to buy a can and spray yourself a personal space ring on the tube, you're basically soulless.

13,800 Chelsea/Unitedhalf-and-half scarves

Never forget where the Jose Fund first started!

Pay Josh Tymon's wages for 24 years, 10 months and 11 days. Ish

€246,330, or $260,820

Not really much to add to that. Exchange rates aren't great material for comedy or footballing insight, turns out.

Fly a 'Mourinho Out' banner for 290 hours

If there's one thing the FA love, it's a bandwagon!
