The Black Satellites of Ghana secured a resounding 3-1 victory over Gambia in the ongoing 13th African Games, leaving coach Desmond Ofei brimming with pride for his players.

The match witnessed a series of goal attempts, with Aziz Misibau breaking the deadlock in the 13th minute. The 18-year-old forward capitalized on a loose ball after the Gambian goalkeeper failed to maintain his grip, skillfully slotting it in to put Ghana ahead.

In the second half, Abdul Aziz Issah extended Ghana's lead with a powerful shot that outwitted Gambian goalkeeper Sanyang. Despite the Gambians managing to pull one back in the final ten minutes, substitute Jerry Afriyie sealed the victory with a spectacular goal, ensuring a commanding 3-1 win for Ghana.

Coach Desmond Ofei, elated with his team's performance, expressed his pride in his players. He commended their determination, teamwork, and tactical discipline, which he believed were instrumental in their victory.

"We have to congratulate them once again the boys have been working really hard we know their levels and what they can bring and that is what they did today," he said.

"I told them that if they are courageous they show hunger every opponent will have a difficult day against us. We are very happy with our performance I am happy for them because they deserve it because they have been working really hard," he added.
