King Faisal could well push to survive relegation after posting an emphatic 2-0 win over Legon Cities FC on Monday afternoon.

The Kumasi-based club after failing to impress in the first round of the 2020/2021 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign is struggling to escape relegation.

Hosting Legon Cities FC in a matchday 31 encounter of the Ghana Premier League today, King Faisal managed to put up an inspirational performance to get the needed result.

In a game played at the Ohene Ameyaw Park, Kwadwo Frimpong scored in the 22nd minute to shoot the home team into the lead.

Later in the second half, Kwame Peprah equalized in the 56th minute to double the lead for King Faisal en route to winning 2-0 at the end of the 90 minutes.

Courtesy of today’s win, King Faisal have climbed out of the relegation of the Ghana Premier League table.

The team however needs to continue with top performances in their last three matches of the season to ensure the team stays in the top-flight league at the end of the campaign.
