Midfielder Isaac Opoku Agyemang netted a brace on Wednesday afternoon to inspire Ashanti Gold SC side to a 5-1 win over King Faisal in the Ghana Premier League.

The two teams locked horns at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium today to clear an outstanding match in the ongoing 2020/2021 Ghana top-flight league season.

With a very good start from the home team, they deservedly took the lead after just 16 minutes of play when Isaac Opoku Agyemang scored with a fine effort.

Ten minutes later, a delightful play from King Faisal saw the team drawing level through an equalizer from danger man Kwame Peprah.

With that game pegged at 1-1, Ashanti Gold SC took charge of the encounter in a bid to bang in the goals.

Fortunately, the efforts of the team paid off at the half-hour mark when Isaac Opoku Agyemang assisted David Abagna to find the back of the net.

While King Faisal missed a chance to restore parity from the penalty spot, Ashanti Gold SC returned from the break to scored three goals. Isaac Opoku Agyemang netted his second of the afternoon with Yaw Annor also bagging a brace to wrap up a deserving 5-1 win at the end of the 90 minutes.

Courtesy of today’s victory, the Miners now have 8 points and have climbed to 3rd on the standings of the Ghana Premier League table.
