20/21 Ghana Premier League matchday 20: Dreams FC beat Karela Utd to pick three points from rained-off match

Published on: 19 April 2021

After resuming yesterday’s rained-off match today, Dreams FC have defeated Karela United 1-0 to amass the maximum points in the Ghana Premier League.

The two clubs yesterday locked horns at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu for a matchday 20 fixture of the ongoing 2020/2021 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign.

Five minutes into the second half after a goalless second half, the match officials had to bring the match to a halt as a result of torrential rainfall at the match venue.

Today, the remainder of the match has been played in accordance of the rules of the game in the books of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

In the final minutes of the match, a Emmanuel Ocran corner kick was headed home by defender Abednego Asafo to shoot Dreams FC into the lead.

Holding on to the finish line, the Still Believe lads have picked the three points with Karela United traveling back to Anyinase empty-handed.
