Karela United on the matchday went into the game hoping to record a win to end a run of four matches without a win.

Dominating play and causing a lot of problems for the defense of Hearts of Oak, the home team managed to take the lead in the 71st minute when Maxwell Boakye scored after capitalizing on miscommunication from the backline of the away team.

Although they looked certain of winning after taking the lead, Hearts of Oak fought back and drew level through a header from Kwadwo Obeng Jnr in the 85th minute.
