Relegation-threatened Inter Allies FC put up an impressive performance on Sunday afternoon to defeat Elmina Sharks 2-0 in the Ghana Premier League.

The capital-based club has struggled since the start of the 2020/2021 football season commenced and as a result, is sitting at the bottom of the league table.

Determined not to go down without a fight, Inter Allies FC today recorded a win over Elmina Sharks that could inspire an escape from suffering relegation.

In what was a matchday 23 encounter, the Capelli Boys cruised to the win courtesy of two penalties converted in the second half by Samuel Armah and Andy Okpe.

Despite the crucial win, Inter Allies FC remains bottom of the Ghana Premier League table with 19 points.

They are six points away from the safe zone and will need to fight for wins in the coming weeks to have any chance of retaining their top-flight league status at the end of the season.
