Techiman Eleven Wonders have boosted their hopes of survival after defeating Berekum Chelsea 3-1 at home in Ghana Premier League on Sunday morning.
The two teams were originally scheduled to lock horns to battle for points on matchday 31 of the ongoing campaign on Saturday.
However, due to a heavy downpour in Techiman yesterday, the game was postponed and to be played on Sunday morning.
Taking to the field under very friendly conditions, both teams played well in a bid to amass the maximum points.
Fortunately for Eleven Wonders, they led at the break by two goals courtesy of strikers from Samuel Boakye and Amos Frimpong.
While Berekum Chelsea would pull one back through a Bright Amponsah equalizer, Ganiu Abass scored later in the 75th minute to seal an important 3-1 win for the home team.
Courtesy of the win, Techiman Eleven Wonders have climbed further away from the relegation zone with just three matches to end the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.
