Hearts of Oak have opened a three-point gap at the top of the Ghana Premier League table after beating rivals Asante Kotoko 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.

Tied on points [56] prior to the start of today’s contest, both teams set up strong with their best eleven hoping to get a good result to gain the advantage on the league table.

In a game that failed to produce a goal in the first half although both teams created some half chances, fans of the home team had something to cheer for in the second half.

In-form winger Daniel Afriyie Barnieh scored in the 67th minute to shoot Hearts of Oak into a deserved lead after several impressive attacks at the defense of the visitors.
