Forward Agyenim Boateng climbed off the bench on Saturday afternoon to score to hand Medeama SC a narrow 1-0 win over Ebusua Dwarfs in the Ghana Premier League.

Prior to today’s away trip to the Cape Coast Stadium, the Tarkwa-based club had played three matches without recording a win.

Keen on finally changing the narrative, Medeama SC head coach Samuel Boadu fielded a very strong team with Kwasi Donsu making his first appearances of the season.

With an improved performance from the past games, the Yellow and Mauve side dominated play throughout the first half but could not score.

In the second half, Agyenim Boateng who replaced Godfred Abban emerged as the hero for Medeama SC as he scored in the 71st minute to inspire the team to a narrow win over Ebusua Dwarfs at the end of the 90 minutes.

With today’s win, Medeama SC has climbed out of the relegation zone and now sits 9th on the standings of the division.
