AshantiGold SC continued their 100% start to the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season with a 1-0 away win over King Faisal on Sunday.

A lone goal from Mubarik Yussif in the second successive game handed the Miners all three points at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

King Faisal head coach Coach Anthony Commey made four changes to his side as he handed Dauda Mohammed a debut against his former club.

Taufic Razak was also handed a starting berth with Mohammed Lateef replacing Mujeeb Hakeem.

AshantiGold made just one altercation to their line-up with Musah Mohammed replacing the injured Richard Osei Agyemang.

The away side made an impressive start to the game as Emmanuel Owusu's curling shot hit the crossbar.

Taufic Razak with a powerful left footed long drive forced goalkeeper Frank Boateng to make a great save to deny King Faisal the elad.

On the stroke of halftime, Shafiu Mumuni came close to getting the opener as his header was brilliantly saved by goalkeeper Alexander Osei Domfeh.

The hosts were reduced to ten men after goalkeeper Domfeh was sent off for handling the ball outside the box in the 70th minute.

Two minutes later Yussif broke the deadlock to put Ashgold ahead with a sublime free-kick but King Faisal hoof and poof but to no avail.
