2019/20 Ghana Premier League Match Week 7 Report: Karela United 3-0 Legon Cities FC

Anyinase-based Karela United has inflicted a 3-0 defeat on Legon Cities FC in the Ghana Premier League this afternoon to end a three matches unbeaten run.

In a Match Week 7 fixture of the ongoing 2019/2020 season played at the Tarkwa Akoon Community Park today, the two sides treated fans to some exciting football action but at the end of the day, the visitors have been forced to succumb to a loss.

Legon Cities FC, formerly called Wa All Stars went into today’s match on the back of a 1-0 win against Bechem United last week while Karela had failed to pick up 3 points from any of its previous 3 matches.

Two first-half goals from Diawise Taylor and Samuel Ofori sent the home team into the break well in a comfortable lead.

Having failed to up their game in the second half, Legon Cities FC was made to pay for it on the 80th minute when Diawisie Taylor scored the 3rd goal for Karela United to complete his brace.

At the end of an entertaining match for the home team, they have cruised to a win that sees them climb to the 10th position of the Ghana Premier League standings.
