Berekum Chelsea has put up a good performance to beat Legon Cities FC 2-0 at the Golden City Park this afternoon in the Ghana Premier League.
The two clubs were in action today to honour a date on Matchday 14 of the ongoing 2019/2020 Ghanaian domestic top-flight league season.
An evenly-matched showdown in the first half ended goalless with both clubs squandering the few goal-scoring opportunities that came their way.
Following a masterclass display in the second half, Berekum Chelsea managed to find the back of the net twice. First, danger man Kofi Owusu gave the Blues the lead 2 minutes after recess before Stephen Amankonah subsequently converted a penalty kick on the 63rd minute.
Though Legon Cities FC tried to get back into the game, they lacked the firepower to match the home team and hence has suffered defeat at the end of the 90 minutes.
