Medeama Sporting Club (SC) has defeated Accra Great Olympics by a goal to nil today to move to 3rd on the standings of the Ghana Premier League.
The side from Accra went into today's meeting at the Tarkwa Akoon Community Park looking for a win to end a 3 match unbeaten run. Following an unimpressive performance, their poor run has been extended to four matches after today's game.
A good display from Medeama SC produced a goal just 20 minutes into the first half when danger man Prince Opoku Agyemang found the back of the net. Though the Yellow and Mauves created additional chances in the second half, they failed to add to their tally.
In truth, Great Olympics also had their chances but lack of potency up front denied them a goal. At the end of the match, Medeama SC has earned all 3 points as they move forward in their quest to lift the League title at the end of the 2019/2020 season.
