Legon Cities FC has posted a convincing 4-1 win over West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) this evening as they climb further away from the relegation zone of the Ghana Premier League standings.

In a Match that produced five good goals, it was the home team that broke the deadlock. The Royal club took the lead after 25 minutes of play when Cephas Doku connected to an inviting cross from Latif Abubakar.

That goal kindled WAFA as they began to play some impressive football afterward. Following successive attacks in the last five minutes of the match, they finally drew level on the 43rd minute courtesy a strike from Sampson Agyemang.

In the second half, it took just 2 minutes for Legon Cities FC to restore their lead. Ebenezer Nii Addy who did not do much in the first half popped up and fired in a good shot to give his team a 2-1 lead.

Four minutes after the hour mark, the home team doubled their lead to drag the result beyond the reach of WAFA. Cephas Doku who had netted the first goal scored again to complete his brace. Late in the second half, Fadali Yusif added a 4th goal to wrap up a big win for Legon Cities FC.
