2019 Africa Cup of Nations: Ethiopian referee Bamlak Tessema Weyesa to handle Ghana-Cameroon clash

Published on: 28 June 2019

Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Ethiopian referee Bamlak Tessema Weyesa to officiate Ghana's second group F match against Cameroon at the Ismailia Stadium.

Weyesa will be assisted by Mohammed Abdullah Ibrahim from Sudan and Gilbert Kipkoech Cheruiyot from Kenya in the crucial game on Saturday.

The fourth official for the match is Mustapha Ghorbal from Algeria with Manuel Irenio Lopes Nascimento from Guinea Bissau as the match commissioner.

General Coordinator for the game will be Titus Haimbili Kunamuene from Namibia.

Ghana must win to keep hopes alive after a disappointing 2-2 draw against Benin in their Group F opener of the on-going Africa Cup of Nations.

However, Cameroon beat Guinea Bissau 1-0 to make a winning start to their campaign as they hope to retain the title.
