Goalkeeper of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Felix Annan has been nominated for the Footballer of the Year Award by the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG).
The first-choice goalkeeper for the Ghana Premier League giant has been impressive for his side in the past 12 months even though he has spent the last two months nursing an injury.
In the year under review, Felix Annan manned the post for the Porcupine Warriors during their campaign in the CAF Champions League and the Confederations Cup.
In addition to that, he was equally outstanding for the Reds when they went all the way to emerge as champions of the tier 1 of the Normalization Committee Special Competition.
That together with his involvement with the Black Stars team has earned him a nomination for the SWAG Football of the Year award for 2019.
He will compete with Hearts of Oak’s Joseph Esso, as well as Shafiu Mumuni of Ashanti Gold.
The award ceremony has been scheduled for early 2020.
