2019 WAFU: Black Stars B trio named in tournament best XI

Three of the Black Stars B players that represented Ghana at the 2019 edition of the WAFU Cup of Nations has been named in the best eleven of the tournament.

Ghana was in Senegal earlier this month to try and defend the WAFU title they lifted last two years when the tournament was hosted on home soil.

Coach Maxwell Konadu and his men managed to get to the finals but missed out on clinching the ultimate glory after being beaten on penalties by the host nation.

Ghanaian trio of Shafiu Mumuni, Joseph Esso, and Fatawu Mohammed has been included in the best eleven of the tournament for excelling in their respective positions.

The 3 players were key for the Black Stars B team throughout the tournament and played in all the matches.

Shafiu Mumuni finished as the tournament top goal scorer after finding the back of the net four times.

Esso and Fatawu equally impressed in the various positions.
