2021/22 Ghana Premier League matchday 1: Kotoko come from behind to thump Dreams 3-1

Asante Kotoko on Saturday, October 30, 2021, came from behind to defeat Dreams FC 3-1 in the Ghana Premier League.

The new 2021/2022 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign has commenced this weekend and saw the first game of the season ending in a 1-1 draw between Accra Lions FC and Elmina Sharks on Friday night.

With the league continuing today, Dreams FC hosted Asante Kotoko at its adopted home venue at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Despite the first half of the encounter seeing both teams create a number of goal-scoring opportunities, neither side could score and had to settle for a draw at the end of the break.

In the second half of exciting displays, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku stole the show as his quality mesmerized fans.

The Africa U-20 Championship best player scored with a magical effort in the 62nd minute after going past three players.

Pegged behind, Asante Kotoko fought and scored twice through Mudasiru Salifu, Isaac Oppong, and Richmond Lamptey to cruise to a 3-1 win at the end of the 90 minutes.
