2021/22 Ghana Premier League matchday 10: Gold Stars brush aside Karela Utd with a 3-1 win
Newly-promoted Ghana Premier League side, Bibiani Gold Stars put up an outstanding performance on Sunday afternoon to condemn Karela United to a 3-1 defeat.
The side from Bibiani today hosted the team from Anyinase in a matchday 10 encounter in the ongoing 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
In a game that both teams struggled to take control of in the first half, Prince Owusu Kwabena netted the opening goal for Gold Stars in the final minutes of the first half.
Later in the second half, a Charles Gyamfi strike saw the home team increasing their lead in the 63rd minute before an equalizer from Umar Bashiru from the spot gave Karela United hope.
Unfortunately, a late strike from Nuhu Sule sealed a 3-1 win for Bibiani Gold Stars at the end of the 90 minutes.
The win pushes Gold Stars to 9th on the Ghana Premier League table with Karela United dropping to 13th on the log.
