Ghanaian international, Abdul Aziz Yakubu scored for Rio Ave on Saturday when the team drew 1-1 with FC Vizela in the Portuguese Primeira Liga.

The striker started for his team in a Round 31 encounter of the league season and put up another splendid performance.

Just four minutes into the first half, Abdul Aziz Yakubu scored with a composed finish after he was assisted with a pass by Umaro Embalo.

Unfortunately, his team could not hold onto the lead as the game ended at halftime in a stalemate.

FC Vizela fought back and scored through Samuel Essende in the 67th minute to restore parity.

Despite the many chances created by the two teams in the second half, neither side could find the back of the net for the winning goal and had to settle for a point each at full-time.

With his goal on Saturday, Abdul Aziz Yakubu now has six goals and one assist after making 16 league appearances for Rio Ave.
