Published on: 12 November 2021

Asante Kotoko have made it three wins from the first three matches of the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season after defeating Bibiani Gold Stars 1-0 on Friday afternoon.

Following wins against Dreams FC and Bechem United on matchday one and two respectively, the Porcupine Warriors went into today’s game feeling very confident.

In a game played at the Dun’s Park, Asante Kotoko faced a tough challenge as the team was given a tough match by the home team Bibiani Gold Stars.

Ten minutes into the second half after a goalless first half, talented teenager Isaac Oppong equalized with a curling effort from the edge of the box of the home team.

Despite all efforts from Bibiani Gold Stars to draw level, the team could not score and hence the team has surrendered all three points to Asante Kotoko at the end of the exciting contest.

The win keeps Asante Kotoko at the top of the Ghana Premier League table.
