2021/22 GHPL: Hearts of Oak will beat Kotoko on Sunday - Abdul Nurudeen

Published on: 16 February 2022

Hearts of Oak midfielder Abdul Aziz Nurudeen is confident his outfit will beat arch-rivals and league leaders Asante Kotoko in the Super Clash on Sunday.

The match week seven outstanding game is scheduled at the Accra Sports Stadium after the game was postponed due to the Phobians participation in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.

Hearts are currently 8th on the league table with 24 points after drawing goalless against RTU in their last Premier League game last Sunday.

"We know Asante Kotoko are doing well in the league but we will beat them on Sunday," Nurudeen said.

Hearts are set to be without three of their key players for the game. Defender Caleb Amankwah received red card against RTU at the Tamale Sports Stadium on the 84th minute, thereby he will miss the game against the Porcupine Warriors.

Salifu Ibrahim will also missed the game due to an injury he sustained at the CAM Park against Karela United. He has been out for almost a month now and still not fit to play against Kotoko.

According to reports, Hearts of Oak deputy captain Mohammed Alhassan may miss the Super Clash due to an injury, having missed Hearts' away game against RTU.
