Real Tamale United (RTU) head coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko has praised Asante Kotoko despite beating the league leaders in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

RTU secured a 2-1 win at Aliu Mahama Stadium, condemning the Porcupine Warriors to their 3rd defeat of the season.

The home side took the lead through Ronald Frimpong who scored from the spot in the 26th minute of the game before Victor Aidoo made it 2-0 in the 85th minute.

However, Cameroonian poacher, Frank Mbella pulled one back also from the spot.

"Kotoko are a good side by all standard and we were the better side. We clicked their wings, where they are supposed to operate so they couldn't get any way to play there. That is the secret."

"Abagna's comeback is definitely going to be sustained and I believe he will help push the team to wherever we want to get to," coach Tanko said after the game.

RTU, who are 15th on the league table will take on Elmina Sharks in their next league game over the weekend.
