Ghana head coach CK Akonnor has noted that he has no doubt the team will beat South Africa on Thursday, March 25, 2021, to seal qualification to next year’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Nicknamed the Black Stars, the team coached by CK Akonnor will be up against a determined Bafana Bafana side also chasing a win to have the chance to qualifier for the AFCON.
Speaking on the need to stay alert in tomorrow’s game, Coach CK Akonnor has indicated that his team has learned their lessons from the defeat to Sudan and will do the needful to get the desired result.
“Against Sudan, it was unfortunate that in the last minute we lost. We wouldn’t have been talking about qualification today if we had drawn that match. But we are men enough to stand firm and say that it is time to deliver and I am very certain that we will do well,” the Black Stars coach told the media team of GFA in an interview.
Tomorrow’s clash between South Africa and Ghana will be played in Johannesburg and has been scheduled to kick-off at 16:00GMT.
