2021 AFCON qualifiers: GFA officials inspect Cape Coast Stadium ahead of Ghana’s meeting with South Africa

Several officials of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), visited the Cape Coast Stadium on Monday to inspect the state of the facility ahead of Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against South Africa later this month.

Executive Council members of the newly constituted executives of the football governing body Frederick Acheampong and Linford Asamoah inspected the stadium together with the acting General Secretary of the FA Alex Asante as well as the Central Regional Football Association chairman Robert Duncan.

They checked the state of the pitch and several other facilities at the Cape Coast stadium which is being considered as the venue of the Black Stars’ game against the Bafana Bafana.

The inspection team also used the opportunity to scout for hotels that will house the respective teams for the AFCON qualifiers.

The game between Ghana and South Africa will be played on Friday, November 14, 2019.
